Football Treats Just in Time for the Upcoming Season!

Football season is fast approaching and there’s nothing more fun than getting delicious recipes together for all of the cookouts, parties and tailgates you have planned. So in the spirit of football season, here’s a list of delicious football-inspired treats to delight all of your fellow fans with.

 

Bacon-Covered Cheese Football

This is dip is so simple! All you need is cream cheese of your choice, your favorite shredded cheese, bacon and a little green onion. Mix the cream cheese, shredded cheese and bacon together and mold into a football shape. Add extra bacon on-top for a leather effect, line up the green onion for the laces and surround it with your favorite dipping chips.

 

Rice Krispie Footballs

This spin on a classic will be sure to delight your guests. Instead of using original rice krispies, pick up the chocolate version instead. Mix the cereal with melted marshmallows and butter, and mold into a football shape. Pipe a little vanilla frosting on top to make the laces, and you’re finished!

 

Peanut Butter Football Dip

All you will need for this sweet dip is cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar and chocolate sprinkles. Just mix together the cream cheese, peanut butter and sugar, shape into a football and cover the dip with sprinkles. Add some vanilla frosting laces for an added effect.

This is the easiest treat by far! All you’ll need to do is purchase your favorite chocolate ice cream sandwiches and top them with frosting laces. Stick a popsicle stick in there to avoid messy hands.

 

Jalapeño Cheddar Footballs

These little corn bread rolls are so delicious and extremely simple to put together. All you need to pick up is a corn bread mix, jalapeños, shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream. Prepare the corn bread as directed and mix in the cheese and chopped jalapeños. Bake and finish off with sour cream laces.
