Must Try Fall Cocktails to Spice Up The Season

It’s no secret that Fall is everyone’s favorite season, from football games and tailgates to the crisp weather. Cheers to a new season filled with pumpkin flavored everything, stressing over your Halloween costume and of course the fall fashion filled with boots, scarves and vests. This season whether you are throwing a party or winding down the work week you have to try at least one of these tasty fall themed cocktails. Some are on the sweet side and some on the spice side, and a combination of both to make it extra tasty!

Apple Cider Moscow Mules

AppleCiderMoscowMule-2

Ingredients for 1 cocktail:

2 oz vodka
2 oz apple cider (choose your favorite)
Cinnamon
1 lime wedge (squeezed)
1/3 can of ginger beer (to top cocktail off – or you can use ginger ale or club soda if this is too sweet)

Place the vodka, apple cider and squeezed lime in a shaker and shake to mix the ingredients. Pour over ice in a copper mug (or a regular glass). Top the rest of the glass off with ginger beer. Stir well to combine ingredients and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Add an apple slice to garnish.

Golden Delicious Apple Sangria

Honeycrisp-Apple-Sangria-6

Ingredients for 1 pitcher:

4 cinnamon sticks
2 golden delicious apples, chopped
1 orange, peel on, cut into thin slices
1 bottle red wine (your choice – a red blend is my favorite in all sangria)
1/2 cup of brandy
1 1/2 cups of apple cider (your choice, I would go with one with less sugar since this will already be sweet!)
1/4 cup orange juice
club soda (add this for taste and texture at the end)

Combine all of these ingredients into a pitcher and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours. The best way to make sangria is to let it sit overnight in a pitcher in the fridge so that all the fruit soaks in the wine and brandy.
